Sort by access status
Keep unlocked content, currently active content and still-sealed content in separate sections. Use plain dividers or bags labelled with the identifiers the game already provides. Avoid labels that describe a hidden character, location or reward more explicitly than the original packaging.
Follow any instructions about keeping particular cards in order. A numbered deck may be intended for reference rather than shuffling, and moving one card into a general pile can make a future reveal difficult to find. Do not reorganise hidden material by artwork or theme if that requires inspecting it.
Open only what the game instructs
Check the exact envelope, card number or symbol before breaking a seal or turning a page. Similar identifiers can be easy to confuse during an excited group moment. Have another player verify the reference when useful, without asking them to read ahead.
If a seal opens accidentally, close or cover the material without examining it further. Record what happened if the group needs to know, but avoid spreading the spoiler by describing every detail. An accidental glimpse by one person does not need to become a shared reveal.
Keep setup helpers spoiler-aware
A volunteer sorting components may not know which parts are restricted. Explain the storage boundaries before handing them a stack of cards. Let them organise ordinary tokens while the person familiar with the campaign handles numbered or sealed material.
Photos and digital inventories can reveal spoilers too. Do not photograph every card face for convenience. Use exterior labels or component counts that preserve hidden content, and keep any necessary private records away from a general shared album.
Make the next session easy to start
Place the current scenario's permitted materials together and note which sealed item may be opened next, if that instruction has already been earned. Do not pre-open future content merely to speed setup unless the rules explicitly allow it.
Before closing the box, check that a newly unlocked card has moved to the correct available section and that unrevealed material remains separate. This small check prevents both accidental spoilers and the opposite problem: forgetting that the group has already earned access to something useful.
